里約熱內盧市立劇院，本身就是一種權力與秩序的象徵。巴洛克立面、歐洲歌劇傳統、紅色天鵝絨座椅——這裡原本不屬於雨林。《亞馬遜的巴洛克幻想》正是要把「不屬於」變成事件。
希納斯特拉的音樂，從來不溫順。他的節奏裡藏著土地的暴力與美感，藏著文明尚未整理好的能量。這首作品讓馬友友的大提琴成為一條穿越系統的裂縫：一瞬間，它是精準的古典樂器；下一瞬間，它變成敲擊、喘息、野獸般的存在。
Pandeiro 與拉丁打擊樂的加入，使音樂不再服從指揮棒，而服從身體。節奏會推著聽者前傾、搖晃，甚至不安。這正是作品的目的——讓古典音樂廳失去它慣有的安全距離。
